Hepatitis A

Target group:
The vaccine can be given from the age of 1 year to people who are at risk of infection with infectious liver inflammation caused by the hepatitis A virus. This includes people for whom hepatitis A is an occupational risk or where there is an increased risk of transmission.
Vaccination dose:
A basic vaccination consisting of 2 doses with a minimum 6-month interval is given to both children and adults.
Protection duration:
After the first vaccination, almost 100% protection is ensured for five years. After the 2nd vaccination, long-term protection is achieved, at least 30-40 years.
