Typhoid Prescriptions
Typhoid fever is the term for infection with Salmonella typhi, which is a purely human pathogenic bacterium. The source of infection is therefore always a so-called “carrier” who excretes the bacterium in the faeces. The transmission route is primarily faeco-oral via contaminated food, but can also occur directly from person to person.
